celebrating the growing season

I am a gardener. One of my friends dubbed me a gorilla gardener, and I quite love the moniker. my philosophy in our yard is to disregard hard line rows, mix things up, see what will survive and play. This year I started to weave the choke cherry tree branches. the woven branches are creating a gorgeous arch in the heart of the shade. looking forward to making a shade retreat, but still not settled on what it will be. We also have bird houses and get to watch each pair as they tend their eggs and then hatchlings. It is fun to watch.

Here are some of the wonders that shared our space this year.
